78-year-old director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Singer, were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home. Their son is suspected of murder.
The couple was found in their burning Brentwood home with multiple stab wounds. After the murder, the perpetrator reportedly set the mansion on fire, leaving the victims' bodies unidentified for a long time. The couple's 32-year-old son, screenwriter Nick Reiner, is suspected of the crime. He lived near his parents and suffered from drug addiction.
Rob Reiner is known in Hollywood as the director of the celebrated films "Misery," "When Harry Met Sally," "A Few Good Men," "The Bucket List," "Rumor Has It," and many others. As an actor, he played Leonardo DiCaprio's father in "The Wolf of Wall Street" and other films. Reiner is one of the founders of the film company Castle Rock Entertainment.
Rob Reiner and photographer Michel Singer have been married since 1989 and have three children. The director was previously married to actress Penny Marshall.
