Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II made a public appearance in Monaco with their children.

Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene celebrated Saint Devote's Day, the patron saint of the principality. On Monday, the couple and their children took part in the city's celebrations, and the following day, the Prince and Princess attended mass at Monaco Cathedral.

For the evening out, Princess Charlene, 48, chose a gray coat and black leather gloves, accessorizing with a matching bag. Eleven-year-old Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, as well as Prince Albert, wore dark blue coats.

The royal family arrived at the port of Monaco, where they honored the memory of Saint Devote. According to legend, the Corsican girl was martyred in the 4th century, and her body was released into the sea in a small boat, which reached the shores of the principality on January 27. In the 17th century, she was proclaimed the patron saint of Monaco. In the evening, the family attended a service at the Church of Sainte-Dévote and greeted the residents of Monaco who had gathered in the square.

The following day, 67-year-old Prince Albert II and Charlene attended the morning service at Monaco Cathedral, led by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. After the ceremony, the couple watched from the windows of the Princely Palace the traditional procession of the relics of Saint Devote through the streets of the principality.

Earlier, Charlene and Albert with their children and other members of the royal family visited the Christmas tree at the Princely Palace.

As a reminder, Prince Albert II, the son of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Hollywood star Grace Kelly, married Olympic athlete Charlene Wittstock in 2011. In 2014, the couple welcomed twins: Crown Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. The prince also has two officially recognized illegitimate older children from different mothers, who have no claim to the throne.
