Elon Musk became the first person in history whose fortune reached $800 billion.

Elon Musk has become the first person in history to have a net worth of $800 billion, according to Forbes.

This came after Musk's rocket company SpaceX acquired his artificial intelligence and social media company xAI. According to Forbes, the deal, which values the combined company at $1.25 trillion, increased Musk's net worth by $84 billion, bringing it to a record $852 billion.

Musk's net worth has reached four major milestones since October 2025, when he became the first person in history to reach $500 billion. This occurred after Tesla shares soared following his departure from the Trump administration.
