Royal staff have refused to work for former Prince Andrew because of his friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Employees at the Sandringham royal estate, where King Charles III's younger brother, former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, recently moved, are refusing to work for him due to his ties to billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, The Sun reports, citing its sources.
According to the publication, staff were given the option to refuse service to 65-year-old Andrew if it caused them even the slightest moral discomfort, and many readily took advantage of this right. "People who worked with him for years have left. At best, a minimal staff will remain. Perhaps for the first time in his life, he will have to open the front door himself," the insider noted, adding that the employees' resentment is understandable, as the former prince has become a "real pariah."
As a reminder, last fall, following the release of new materials in the Epstein case, Andrew was stripped of his birthright as a prince and ordered to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor. Earlier, at the insistence of Charles III, he renounced all his honorary regalia, but emphasized that he continues to "categorically deny" all the accusations.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor gained notoriety for his friendship with financier Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sex trafficking and child molestation. Virginia Giuffre, one of the victims, was the first to accuse the former prince of sexual assault, which occurred when she was 17 years old. She claimed she and Andrew had sex three times between 1999 and 2002, for which she was paid $15,000. She also claimed he beat her and inflicted emotional harm on her. In 2021, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Andrew, but he avoided trial: the parties reached a settlement of approximately £12 million, which was paid by Queen Elizabeth II. However, following the significant public outcry, the prince was excommunicated from the royal family and stripped of his military ranks.
Virginia recently committed suicide just weeks after the accident. Her memoir, published posthumously, details her abuse at the hands of influential figures, including former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Amid new details about the prince's involvement in Epstein's crimes, the book "The Rise and Fall of the House of York" has been published, which critics are already calling "the most damaging royal biography in history." In it, the author claims that Andrew allegedly had an entire team "supplying" him with blondes and ballerinas.
In 2019, 66-year-old Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell while awaiting trial for multiple sex crimes. Officially, the billionaire committed suicide, but many believe he was murdered to prevent him from revealing the names of his high-profile clients (documents in the Epstein case, for example, mention Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, and even Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin). His longtime accomplice and former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was found guilty of aiding and abetting the crime and sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022.
