"It's psychosomatic." Regina Todorenko is being "canceled" for nearly killing a man with allergies.

35-year-old Regina Todorenko is being "canceled" again after a clip from the show "Please Don't Tell!" went viral on social media, in which the presenter admitted to giving an acquaintance angioedema.
Todorenko stated that she believes illnesses and allergic reactions are psychosomatic, so when she learned that a friend of hers was allergic to honey, she didn't believe it. The presenter was certain that if someone didn't know they'd eaten an allergen, they wouldn't experience any reaction. Regina decided to conduct an experiment: she served him tea with honey added to it and left. Afterward, the artist's friend contacted her when he had already developed angioedema.
"I poisoned a young man who thought he couldn't have honey. I told him, 'It's all psychosomatic.' I brewed him some tea, put it on, and didn't tell him it contained honey. Then he sent me a photo; he had Quincke's edema," Todorenko said, humorously parodying her friend's condition.
The excerpt is being actively discussed on social media. Users disliked not only the story itself, but also the fact that Todorenko ironically describes a situation that could have ended much worse for her friend.
"Can this be considered attempted murder?", "This is horrific! I'm a lifelong allergy sufferer, and so is my daughter—it's hell! She's laughing, there are no words," "Regina has no boundaries. Every time you think things can't get any worse, she comes out with it," they write in the comments.
The internet also recalled the high-profile scandal involving the presenter, when she spoke out about domestic violence, saying: "What did you do to stop him [your husband] from beating you?"
"What did this young man do to stop her from putting honey in his tea?", "Remember what she said about domestic violence?", "Hasn't it already been cancelled?" users added.
Regina Todorenko often faces hate on social media. In 2020, the presenter was "canceled" following a scandal sparked by her insensitive comments about victims of domestic violence. At the time, Regina condemned her showbiz colleagues who had been abused by their partners, sparking outrage online. Following the outcry, she donated 2 million rubles to the "No to Violence" charity and released a film about domestic violence.
Todorenko is married to singer Vlad Topalov. They are raising three sons. A couple of years ago, she received Russian citizenship and is under sanctions in her home country of Ukraine.
