Director Sam Taylor-Johnson celebrated her 59th birthday in Rome with her young husband.

The director's young husband, Sam Taylor-Johnson, arranged a romantic trip to Rome for them in honor of her 59th birthday. Aaron Taylor-Johnson shared photos from the trip on social media and also addressed his wife publicly on her birthday.

"Me and you in Rome. Happy birthday, baby," Taylor-Johnson, 35, captioned a photo of them taking in the sights of the "eternal city."

Aaron Johnson and Sam Taylor-Wood met on the set of her film in early 2009 and soon began dating. He was 18 and she was 41 when they began their romance. They were engaged within a few months, and three years later they married, changing their last names to Taylor-Johnson. The couple has two daughters together, 15-year-old Wilda Rae and 14-year-old Romy Hero, as well as her two daughters from a previous marriage.

Taylor-Johnson previously spoke about her 24-year age difference with Aaron, who was named the most handsome man in the world last year. "We don't feel like we have an age difference. It's only an issue from the perspective of people who don't know us. I think people will always think that," she said.

Sam's most famous works include "Becoming John Lennon" and "Fifty Shades of Grey." Aaron is currently being touted as a contender for the role of the next James Bond.
