Touchiness and a difficult character: Insiders explained why Netflix terminated its contract with Meghan Markle.
The reasons why Netflix ended its partnership with Meghan Markle and her brand, As Ever, have been revealed. Insiders told Variety that Meghan's personality, her easily offended nature, her lack of understanding of business ethics, and her difficult personality are to blame.
During work meetings, Meghan, according to an insider, was "prone to interrupting or paraphrasing Prince Harry's thoughts, sometimes mid-sentence (usually preceded by a touch on his arm or thigh)," as if letting her husband know that Hollywood was her domain. Furthermore, Meghan could simply disconnect at any moment during a video conference with colleagues: "Meghan also had strange methods for delivering feedback. She would suddenly disconnect during a Zoom call, without explanation, and only later would Netflix employees discover she had taken offense at something said."
Variety correspondent Matt Donnelly conducted his own investigation into the end of Markle's partnership with Netflix, As Ever, and the cancellation of Meghan's cooking show, "With Love, Megan," due to low ratings for its second season. Netflix employees, speaking on condition of anonymity, shared their impressions of working with the couple with the reporter. According to them, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos is simply "tired of this couple." The reporter spoke with six Netflix employees. All of them are convinced that the end of their partnership with As Ever is just the beginning. They believe Netflix is about to part ways with Meghan and Harry for good.
The reason for the producers' dissatisfaction, particularly with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, is Meghan's business practices. After moving to the United States, the Sussexes had grandiose plans, but they were destined to come to fruition due to the Duchess of Sussex's personality. Harry and Meghan wanted to release Christopher Reeve's documentary "Superman," but they never reached an agreement with the producers. They chose DC Films, a Warner Bros. subsidiary, for a lower fee than the Sussexes had offered.

As a reminder, it was recently announced that Netflix was terminating its contract with Meghan's home goods brand, As Ever. In the wake of this, Markle began appearing as a guest star in paid retreats and began appearing in fashion shows for a fee.
