Kate Middleton and Prince William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla at a banquet in honor of the visit of the President of Nigeria

A state banquet was held at Windsor Castle to celebrate the official visit of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, to the United Kingdom. The event, as expected, was attended by heads of state, members of the royal family, and other distinguished guests. Among them were Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton; King Charles III and Queen Camilla; Princess Anne and her husband, Vice-Admiral Tim Lawrence; the Duke of Edinburgh; and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Middleton, 44, appeared at the banquet in an emerald-colored Andrew Gn gown, which was presumably chosen as a tribute to the Nigerian national flag. The Duchess's look was completed with her favorite Lover's Knot tiara, a sparkling clutch, and earrings from the jewelry box of the late Elizabeth II. Prince William, 43, like the other men, wore a classic black tailcoat with a white bow tie, according to royal etiquette.
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla wore a white embroidered dress by Fiona Claire. She accessorized with the Belgian sapphire tiara, which she had previously worn at the banquet in honor of the visiting presidents of France and the United States, and a diamond necklace in the shape of a snake.
It's worth noting that the Duke and Duchess of Wales were the first members of the royal family to greet Tinubu and his wife upon their arrival in the UK. The couple accompanied the couple to Windsor Castle, where Charles III and Camilla were already waiting. The guests were then given a tour of the castle, with a particular focus on the Royal Collection's exhibits related to Nigeria.
As a reminder, Prince William, the son of King Charles III and Princess Diana, has been married to Kate Middleton since 2011. The couple has three children: Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte. In 2024, the Princess of Wales suddenly retired from public appearances, and a few months later announced she had been diagnosed with cancer. After a year of treatment, she went into remission. Rumors recently circulated that the disease had returned, but these were not confirmed.
