Miley Cyrus, 33, is the cover star of Variety's March issue. The singer gave a lengthy interview in which she discussed the return of Hannah Montana in honor of the iconic teen show's 20th anniversary.

"I didn't want to do some 'modernized' version of Hannah. I wanted to keep her the way she was. But now Hannah wears Gucci. She's grown up," Cyrus says.

The special episode featuring Miley Cyrus, in which she appeared as Hannah in front of fans, was filmed earlier this month. To ensure complete confidentiality, all viewers' phones were sealed at the entrance. The full episode is expected on March 24 on Disney+.

According to Miley Cyrus, she wants "not to abandon the past, but to take it with me." "A lot of artists believe that to become a new version of themselves, you have to leave something behind.
