The first still from the new Harry Potter series has appeared online.

The first still from the new Harry Potter series has surfaced online. The image shows Harry dressed in the signature Gryffindor house colors. The lead character in the reboot of the iconic franchise is played by 12-year-old Dominic McLaughlin. In the caption accompanying the image, HBO promised to share the first details of the series on March 25.
As a reminder, the Harry Potter reboot was announced in 2022. Filming is currently in full swing on the first season, based on the book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." The writers plan for the series to have seven seasons—the number of books in J.K. Rowling's series. The first season will premiere in early 2027.
The main cast is already known: Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Paapa Essiedu, who was not well-received by fans of the original films, will play Professor Severus Snape. The actor recently revealed that he has already faced online bullying for his participation in the series: many fans of the cult franchise believe he is unworthy of the role, previously played by the late Alan Rickman.
