"They'll be multimillionaires before they're 18." The salaries of the stars of the new Harry Potter series have been revealed.

The three young actors cast for the lead roles in the television adaptation of "Harry Potter" will each receive $740,000 (60 million rubles) for the first season, The Sun reports.

According to the publication, Arabella Stanton (the new Hermione), Dominic McLaughlin (the new Harry), and Alastair Stout (the new Ron) will earn approximately $740,000 (60 million rubles) for the first season. Converted into episodes, that's more than $86,000 (7 million rubles) per episode. A source called the sum "staggering" for children who haven't even reached their teens yet. "If they keep this up, they'll be multimillionaires before they turn 18," the insider added.

Despite the impressive figures, the rising stars still have a long way to go to match the salaries of the original cast: for the first Harry Potter film, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint each received more than $1 million (over 80 million rubles).

All three young stars passed the casting call, which attracted more than 32,000 applicants. The first teaser trailer for the series, released last week, showed the characters 25 years after the release of the cult film franchise. The premiere of the eight-episode first season, based on the book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," is scheduled for Christmas 2026.

The young actors themselves have yet to comment on their participation in the filming, but their predecessors have already spoken out about the new cast. Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry in the films, admitted that the children look "incredibly young." "I look at them and think, 'God, I was so young when I was filming this.' It's incredibly sweet, and I hope they're having a great time," said the actor, whose net worth now stands at almost 12 billion rubles.

As a reminder, the series' casting has already sparked controversy: fans of the franchise were outraged by the choice of Black actor Paapa Essiedu for the role of Severus Snape.
