An insider has revealed details of Reese Witherspoon's secret affair with financier Oliver Harmann.

An insider has revealed that Reese Witherspoon is dating German financier Oliver Harmann.

Thus, a source close to the actress stated that Reese chose Harmann largely because he is not from Hollywood: “The fact that Oliver is not connected to the film industry was a big plus, because he will never outshine her if they appear together at Hollywood events or meetings,” the Daily Mail quotes him as saying.

According to an insider, the actress chose a partner outside her professional circle because almost everyone in Hollywood knows how difficult it can be to deal with Witherspoon: "Reese is already very difficult to deal with because she always does things her own way. This applies to her Hollywood affairs, her friendships, and especially her personal relationships."

Witherspoon isn't planning a wedding yet: "Reese has told her loved ones she doesn't want to get married again, but that could certainly change." For now, the actress is enjoying the moment.

In 2024, it was announced that 50-year-old actress Reese Witherspoon was dating German financier Oliver Haarmann. Oliver Haarmann is a successful German financier, with a current estimated net worth of $440 million. He is a former partner at global investment giant KKR and co-founder of the investment firm Searchlight Capital Partners. Oliver also owns the New York Islanders hockey team.

As a reminder, in 2023, Reese announced her divorce from her husband, Jim Toth, after 12 years of marriage. During their marriage, the actress gave birth to a son, Tennessee, who turns 14 this year. Just a year after the divorce, the actress was caught by paparazzi having dinner with financier Oliver Harmann.

Besides Tennessee, Reese has two older children—26-year-old daughter Ava and 23-year-old son Deacon—with actor Ryan Phillippe, whom she divorced in 2006 after seven years of marriage. The actress is currently developing her production company, Hello Sunshine, and is trying her hand at writing: in 2025, Reese published her first novel, "Gone Without Saying Goodbye," co-authored with American writer Harlan Coben.
