Lizzo revealed she lost her virginity at 30.

37-year-old singer Lizzo has spoken candidly about her sex life for the first time. On Benny Blanco's podcast, Friends Keep Secrets, she admitted that she lied to her friends for years because she was embarrassed to tell the truth: she didn't have sex for the first time until she was 30.
"I was a late bloomer. I lied about it for a long time," Lizzo shared. "When I was younger, I promised myself I wouldn't have sex until I won a Grammy." She won her first Grammy in 2020, winning three awards for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Urban Contemporary Album, and Best Traditional R&B Performance. She says she had sex for the first time shortly after the ceremony.
Before this event, Lizzo had to lie to her friends. "We were all talking, and then someone asked, 'Wait, Lizzo, are you a virgin?' And I remember saying, 'No!' It was so awkward," the artist admitted.
The singer also had her first kiss late—at 21—and it turned out to be a real disappointment: the guy did it against her will. "It was a New Year's kiss. I was really angry and thought, 'My first kiss is ruined,'" Lizzo recalls. She attributes this late start to intimacy to her strict religious upbringing: "When we were teenagers and going to church, we all vowed that we wouldn't do anything until we got married."
However, Lizzo is not married. The singer is in a relationship with comedian Mike Wright, whom she has known since 2016.
As a reminder, Lizzo is known online not only for her music but also for her struggle with excess weight and her vocal statements about body positivity. For a long time, the singer called herself an "icon of body acceptance" and claimed she had no intention of changing it. However, in 2024, she dramatically lost almost 45 kilograms, leading users to suspect she was taking Ozempic.
At first, Lizzo denied using the drug, attributing her transformation to strength training, a calorie deficit, and the help of a personal chef. "After five months of training and eating right, you get accused of taking Ozempic," she fumed. But later, the singer admitted that she did use the drug in the early stages of her weight loss to adjust her diet, but later gave it up. Her sudden change of heart led to accusations of hypocrisy, and she later stated that she had "freed herself from the guilt" and was proud of her results.
