41-year-old "White Lotus" star Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child with her lover, a year after her husband's death.

Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child. The 41-year-old actress, whose husband committed suicide last year, is expecting a child with her co-star Christopher Abbott, People reports.
According to a source, the baby is due this fall. "It was a wonderful surprise after a year full of emotions. They feel very happy," said an insider close to the couple.
Aubrey Plaza and 40-year-old Christopher Abbott have known each other since 2020. They have worked together several times: they played the lead roles in the film "Black Bear" and, in 2023, appeared in the play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea." Abbott is also known to audiences from the films "The Poor, Unfortunate," "First Man," and the TV series "Crowded Room," "Girls," and "The Sinner." It's unknown when exactly the couple began their relationship.
As a reminder, Aubrey Plaza married director Jeff Baena in 2021, after dating for nearly 10 years. Last January, 47-year-old Baena committed suicide by hanging in his and the actress's Los Feliz home. His body was discovered by a dog sitter. Plaza later learned that she had separated from her husband three months before his death. She grieved greatly over the loss and publicly paid tribute to her husband shortly after his death.
Conspiracy theories have swirled around Baena's death, purportedly due to the actress's fascination with "dark forces." Online commentators have noted that the director frequently addressed themes of mental illness and suicide in his works. His wife has appeared in some of them, portraying a zombie or a nun.
Aubrey Plaza is an American actress best known for her roles in the television series "White Lotus," "Parks and Recreation," "Legion," and the films "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Emily the Criminal." She previously dated actor Michael Cera for a year and a half.
