A criminal case has been opened against Semyon Slepakov*

A criminal case has been opened against 46-year-old Semyon Slepakov*, the Moscow Prosecutor's Office reports. According to the agency, the comedian was held administratively liable twice in the past year "for violating the established procedure for acting as a foreign agent." Slepakov* continued to distribute materials on social media without the required labeling.
As a reminder, Semyon Slepakov* emigrated to Israel in October 2022 after condemning a special military operation and recording a video message calling for an end to military action in Ukraine. In April 2023, Slepakov* was added to the foreign agent registry, and he filed a lawsuit to remove this status.
Previously, another foreign agent, rapper Alisher Morgenstern*, faced criminal charges for social media posts without the required labeling. Blogger Ilya Varlamov* was also charged with disseminating "fake news" about the Russian Armed Forces and evading his duties as a foreign agent.
