Actresses Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway attended the premiere of the film "The Devil Wears Prada 2" in Seoul.
Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, the lead actresses in the sequel to the cult classic from the 2000s, "The Devil Wears Prada," are currently on a promotional tour ahead of the film's release. The actresses have already promoted the film in Tokyo and Mexico City, and today the premiere took place in Seoul.
76-year-old Meryl Streep appeared on the red carpet in a red Prada pantsuit, while 43-year-old Anne Hathaway chose black leather trousers, a blouse with voluminous sleeves, and shoes resembling traditional Korean footwear for the premiere. During this promotional tour, the actresses add accents to their images with the national flavor of the countries in which they are presenting the film this time.
As a reminder, filming for a sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada" was announced in 2024. The team behind the first film, director David Frankel, screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, and producer Karen Rosenfelt, have begun work on the sequel. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt are also returning to reprise their roles. The plot of the second film follows the lead character, Andrea Sachs, who returns to Runway magazine to work with her former boss, Miranda Priestly, to save the publication from bankruptcy.
As part of the promotional tour, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway have already presented the film in Tokyo and Mexico City. Furthermore, Meryl Streep posed for the cover of Vogue magazine alongside former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who inspired Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada.
