"Power Corrupts People." Elon Musk's Transgender* Daughter Opens Up About Their Life in the Wealth

The daughter of the world's richest man, Elon Musk, who has been estranged from him for some time, has spoken about the "isolating" and "strange" experience of growing up in the lap of super-wealth.
Vivienne Wilson, 21, says her abundance of money has been both a blessing and a curse, a dangerous temptation she felt those in power could not resist.
"I've seen this shit with my own eyes. It will change you: the lust for power corrupts people from the inside. It's just a caricature of life," she told Cosmopolitan, adding that constantly "achieving" and wanting more becomes an endless cycle of "greed and satiety" where "nothing is enough and you go crazy." "It turns you into a different person. Honestly, that's one of my biggest fears," Vivienne said.
Wilson, who renounced her wealth and now advocates for others, recalled how "isolating" and "strange" her childhood was. "It was a very strange, very isolating experience... The upper class has its own private schools, social circles, and all that," she said.
Musk's daughter* attended a boarding school on the SpaceX campus, an institute called "Ad Astra," and later attended the private Crossroads School in Los Angeles. Even as a child, she says, she was concerned about the plight of "less fortunate people."
"I had to rethink a lot of things, but even as a child I thought, 'This is ridiculous.' I remember seeing homeless people as a little girl and feeling sick," Wilson said. According to Vivienne, the rich were disconnected from "reality itself" in favor of wealth and the "illusion" that they deserved it, while other people were forced to sleep on the streets.
Vivienne also commented that for most people, she remains Musk's child. "I can't do anything about it, so what difference does it make? It's part of my history, but it's not my future," she explained.
Interestingly, Musk himself has previously spoken about his wealth, stating that "money can't buy happiness."
Vivienne Wilson, the eldest daughter of Musk and his ex-wife, Justine (the billionaire is the father of 14 children). At 16, she came out as transgender and renounced her father's surname. Musk previously claimed he was "tricked" by an "awakened consciousness virus" into allowing Vivienne to transition. "I was tricked into doing this. They didn't explain to me that puberty blockers are actually sterilization drugs," Musk said in an interview in 2024, adding that for him, his son Xavier is now "dead, killed by a virus."
Vivienne is now active on social media and frequently shares details of her modeling career, showing fans the events she attends. She also periodically speaks out about her father. For example, she recently commented on his connection with billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
