Sources close to Jennifer Lopez told The Sun that the singer, who divorced Ben Affleck just a year ago, has become close with her "Office Romance" co-star Brett Goldstein. Insiders say Jennifer and Goldstein have "incredible chemistry."
This summer, Netflix is releasing the film "Office Romance," starring Jennifer Lopez and "Ted Lasso" star Brett Goldstein. Insiders told the publication that the on-screen chemistry between the partners quickly became real: "During filming, it was an open secret about Brett and Jay—they hit it off from the start, and they had incredible chemistry."
Insiders believe Goldstein's charm and British sense of humor captivated Lopez: "He's exactly what Jennifer needs after Ben Affleck. He makes her smile." So now, those close to 56-year-old Jennifer Lopez joke that Brett is the British version of the actress's ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
As a reminder, in 2025, Jennifer Lopez divorced Ben Affleck after less than two years of marriage. The couple had tried to start a family 20 years earlier: in 2002, their wedding was called off just three days before the ceremony. Years later, Jennifer and Ben reunited to try again, but this attempt also failed.
It was recently revealed that Affleck transferred the massive Beverly Hills mansion, which Jennifer and Ben purchased while still married, to his ex-wife after their divorce. The former couple attempted to sell the house for $52 million, but no buyer was found. After a long wait for an offer, Affleck decided to give Lopez a luxurious gift and simply gave her the mansion.
Brett Goldstein, 45, was a former stand-up comedian before starring in the series "Ted Lasso," which made him famous. For this work, Goldstein won two consecutive Emmy Awards. Brett previously dated British comedian Beth Rylance: in 2021, Goldstein first mentioned her in his Emmy acceptance speech. The couple hasn't publicly announced their split.
