Lerchek, who is battling stage four cancer, has begun her fourth round of chemotherapy. The blogger's boyfriend, Louis Squicciarini, announced this on Instagram*, posting new photos of his beloved with her children. "We pray that everything goes well. God bless! Thank you for your prayers, they are helping Lera and her recovery," he wrote.
As a reminder, 33-year-old Lerchek (real name Valeria Chekalina) was diagnosed in early March. Immediately after the birth of her and Luis's son, Daniel, the blogger was admitted to intensive care, where doctors discovered she had late-stage stomach cancer with metastases to her brain, lungs, and spine. She is currently undergoing treatment at the Blokhin State Cancer Center—after her accounts were frozen and debts were repaid, she no longer has the funds to pay for a private clinic.
The blogger's condition remains unstable. Online, reports alternate between worsening symptoms and positive prognoses. For this reason, many doubt the reality of Lerchek's illness, suggesting she is faking it. Chekalina's recent actions only fuel skepticism: she launched her own cosmetics brand, returned to dancing, and regularly attends a fitness club. Furthermore, the blogger recently filed a lawsuit against her former stylist, Elvira Yankovskaya, demanding 2.4 million rubles for selling counterfeit luxury goods.
Due to illness, the court suspended the criminal case against Lerchek for illegally transferring over 250 million rubles abroad. Her ex-husband, Artyom Chekalin, was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined 194 million rubles. According to investigators, the ex-spouses, who divorced in 2024 and are raising three children, earned money selling online courses and fitness marathons and transferred it to the UAE using forged documents.
The verdict sparked widespread public outcry, with many public figures calling for Chekalin's release. Shortly before his arrest, the blogger himself recorded a video statement in which he declared his innocence and promised to provide all evidence.
