"Out of Touch with Reality." Emily Blunt criticized for advising people not to think about money.

Followers have criticized actress Emily Blunt for being "out of touch" after she advised people to quit their jobs if they don't like them.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Betches, the 43-year-old actress was asked to comment on the famous scene from the first film, "The Devil Wears Prada," when her character, Emily Charlton, repeats, "I love my job. I love my job," during a work crunch, and to offer career advice to those who were in the actress's shoes in the film. Emily responded, "Quit your job. Just find what you really want to do. Even if you don't earn anything, as long as you love your job, you'll be happy."
After this, the actress began to be massively criticized for being "out of touch with reality": "It's so easy to say that when you get paid millions for what you love," "That's a very arrogant statement, Emily," "It's easy for you to say that when you're very rich and money isn't a problem for you personally," "Unfortunately, my accounts don't accept happiness as payment."
Furthermore, followers immediately reminded Blunt that she attended the prestigious private school Hurtwood House in Surrey, where tuition costs over $30,000 per semester, and now has the opportunity to choose the projects she enjoys.
As a reminder, the film "The Devil Wears Prada 2," starring Emily Blunt, is set to hit theaters soon. In this sequel to one of the most popular films of the 2000s, Emily plays the rival of her former boss, Miranda Prisley.
It should be noted that Blunt's criticism isn't the only controversy surrounding the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2. The film has already been called racist, and calls for a boycott in China have been made for a scene that stereotypically depicts a Chinese assistant.
At the same time, Blunt's career has been rapidly developing in recent years. She was even nominated for an Oscar in 2024 for her supporting role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.
Blunt has been married to actor John Krasinski since 2010. The couple are raising two daughters together: 12-year-old Hazel and nine-year-old Violet.
