"The slanted girl with the cleft lip." Online criticism of Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter, who has become the face of a fashion brand.

Apple Martin, the 21-year-old daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and the face of Chloe, has been criticized online for her appearance. On the Spletnik Telegram channel, subscribers noted the "non-standard" face of the "un-model" and compared her to her famous mother: "Ugly dog," "Looks like a swordfish," "Too non-standard a face, and this is not a beauty standard. The proportions are out of the chat," "The first photo shows a girl with a cleft lip and a squint," "Cross-eyed, beaked, beautiful, basically," "Gwyneth was prettier, they say, nature takes a break from children," "Like rotten fish."
Apple Martin has previously faced criticism: people believe that, despite having no real portfolio and years of modeling experience, she easily lands glossy magazine covers thanks to the connections of her mother and father, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Incidentally, Apple has already appeared in Vogue, signed her first major fashion contract with Self-Portrait, and appeared in a Gap advertising campaign.
It's worth noting that Apple Martin has developed a reputation for being arrogant, even reportedly expelled from school for bullying. She herself called these accusations "completely false." Martin previously found herself at the center of a scandal during the 2024 Paris Debutante Ball, when a video went viral of her "unceremoniously" intruding into another debutante's frame. Apple herself emphasizes her "down-to-earth" nature and says her parents taught her to "achieve everything herself." Many online ridiculed these words, pointing out that "achieving everything on your own" while living in a luxurious mansion and having access to the Chanel archives is an oxymoron.
Apple Martin is the eldest daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. After their divorce in 2014, they remained friendly and continued raising their children (they also share a son, 19-year-old Moses). Paltrow is currently married to screenwriter Brad Falchuk, and Martin last year split from actress Dakota Johnson, with whom he dated for nearly eight years. Interestingly, despite her law degree (she will graduate from Vanderbilt University this May), Apple Martin is persistently pursuing a career in show business. In a recent interview, she revealed her dream of becoming an actress.
