Kate Middleton embarked on her first official overseas tour since beating cancer.

44-year-old Kate Middleton embarked on her first solo overseas tour since battling cancer, to Italy. The Princess of Wales arrived in the small Italian town of Reggio Emilia, where she was greeted by local residents led by Mayor Marco Massari.
For the official visit, Kate chose a sky-blue business suit and, walking along the Piazza Camillo Prampolini, chatted with a group of children who greeted her and took a selfie before disappearing into the local town hall.
It is known that during her two-day visit to Italy, Kate Middleton will receive an award from the mayor of the city as part of the Primo Tricolore project for her achievements in the field of early childhood development, and will also visit two schools.
The Princess of Wales's cancer diagnosis became known in 2024. She then underwent elective abdominal surgery and disappeared from public view. Due to Kate Middleton's prolonged absence from the public eye, people began spreading numerous conspiracy theories about what had truly happened to her. After a year of treatment, she announced she was in remission and soon returned to her royal duties. Rumors of a cancer recurrence recently circulated, but these were not confirmed.
As a reminder, Kate Middleton and Prince William married in 2011. In 2013, the couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, heir to the throne. Two years later, Princess Charlotte was born, and in 2018, Prince Louis was born. Earlier, Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary during a working trip to IntoUniversity. Their celebratory dinner took place at The Goring Hotel, where Kate had stayed the day before her wedding.
