Kim Kardashian's friend and beauty empire owner renounced his wealth and became a priest.

Scott-Vincent Borba, co-founder of the cosmetics brand elf Cosmetics and friend of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, left his multi-million dollar fortune to become a priest. The 52-year-old Borba, whose company acquired Hailey Bieber's cosmetics brand for $1 billion last year, will be ordained as a Catholic priest on May 23 in the Diocese of Fresno, his hometown in California, The Independent reports.

In 2019, 46-year-old Scott-Vincent, who had worked in the beauty industry and been a regular on the social scene for decades, decided to attend seminary. "I asked Our Lord to help me become the person He intended me to be. And at that moment, a flood of love and mercy poured into my life. It was a powerful mystical experience," The Independent quotes the millionaire. He admits that he once led a vibrant, glamorous life: "We hung out with Paris Hilton, partied with the Kardashians, and just enjoyed the Hollywood life. I was the epitome of luxury. I was definitely not frugal."

In 2004, Borba, along with Joseph Chamakh, founded the cosmetics brand elf Cosmetics (short for EyesLipsFace). The brand quickly gained popularity. Last year, after Borba had been out of business for several years, elf Beauty acquired Hailey Bieber's cosmetics brand Rhode for $1 billion.

Since 2019, Borba has been donating money to charity. "God called me to give up everything, and I thought it was just my cars," he told the Catholic publication OSV News. "I had an Aston Martin convertible, and I said, 'Okay, I'll sell this car and donate the money to charity, and with the rest I'll buy myself a truck.' Then He [God] said, 'Give up everything.'" Now, as is well known, Borba has given away his entire fortune to charity.

Notably, after publicly announcing his intention to become a priest, Borba arrived at his first meeting with diocesan representatives in an expensive car and wearing a luxurious suit. In 2021, he officially abandoned all business ventures.

Scott-Vincent now lives a completely different life. "I live in a tiny, almost tiny room with almost nothing," he admitted. "My life has been reduced to the bare minimum." The former businessman added that he's "never been happier in my life." Nothing is known about the former millionaire's personal life, although he was once rumored to have had an affair with Demi Moore.
