Taylor Swift's 13 most autumnal songs, ranked by Billboard — led by 'All Too Well'

Autumn is a genuine event in the Taylor Swift universe, and now Billboard has made it official: the outlet rounded up the 13 most autumnal songs in her catalog, with "All Too Well" leading the pack as what it calls the "crown jewel" of Swift's fall-coded material.
The 2012 Red breakup epic earns the top billing largely on the strength of one devastating image: "Autumn leaves fallin' down like pieces into place." For a fandom that treats October like a second holiday, it is the closest thing to an anthem.
Swift is a self-professed lover of the season, and the list makes a point of how early that started. Billboard notes that the 18-year-old who wrote 2008's Fearless was just as tuned into fall as the 35-year-old who penned 2025's The Life of a Showgirl — nearly every album of hers is represented.
A whole season of Swift
The picks run from the obvious to the spooky to the feels-like-autumn-but-technically-isn't. "Maroon" from Midnights makes it for the burgundy-on-a-T-shirt imagery, while "Marjorie" from Evermore lands on the line "The autumn chill that wakes me up / You loved the amber skies so much."
"Haunted" gets in on pure Halloween energy — "It's getting dark and it's all too quiet" — and "Out of the Woods" for its wooded, chilly imagery. Then there are the ones that just conjure the season without ever saying the word: "Cardigan," "Cornelia Street" (that "autumn air" line), and "Ruin the Friendship," whose lyric about "September rain" and a brother's Jeep smells unmistakably like a hometown Thanksgiving.
The full 13, in alphabetical order: "All Too Well," "Call It What You Want," "Cardigan," "Cornelia Street," "Haunted," "Maroon," "Marjorie," "Out of the Woods," "Red," "Ruin the Friendship," "So High School," "The Best Day" and "'Tis the Damn Season."
So if your playlist still opens with a pumpkin spice candle and a scarf you remember all too well, Billboard has now given you the definitive soundtrack.
