The basic principles of reducing the calorie content of pancakes are to add less fat, more protein and fiber.

MustHub has collected several recipes for dietary pancakes for you.

The basic principles of reducing the calorie content of pancakes are to add less fat, more protein and fiber.

  • Completely from the use of oil in pancakes can not be abandoned, it does not allow the pancakes to stick to the pan and stick together when you put them on a plate. But the amount of oil can be slightly reduced. To do this, simply add 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the dough and fry the pancakes in a dry, well – heated frying pan, preferably cast iron or teflon-coated. Thus, the pancakes will turn out much less greasy and heavy.
  • To prepare the dough, do not use whole eggs, but only whites. The main thing is to beat them properly.
  • It is better to take milk with a low percentage of fat content (0.5%, 1.5%), or half replace it with water, and ideally-give up milk altogether. If you take mineral water instead of ordinary water, the pancakes will turn out lush and airy.
  • Use coarse flour, preferably buckwheat or rye, it contains less carbohydrates, but a lot of fiber, vitamins and trace elements.
  • You can add grated apples, pears, pumpkin or zucchini to the dough. Pancakes will become less high-calorie.
  • Ready-made pancakes do not eat with butter or sour cream, but rather with fruit or berry jam.
