Lean shawarma with vegetables

Ingredients (for two servings):

  • Lavash — 2 pcs.
  • Lettuce or Peking cabbage leaves-4-6 pcs. 
  • Korean carrot — 200 g
  • Tomato — 1 pc.
  • Fresh cucumber — 1 pc. 
  • Bulgarian pepper-1 pc. 
  • Onion - 1 pc. 
  • Olive oil
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Method of cooking shawarma with vegetables

  1. Prepare the vegetables. Wash, discuss and cut tomatoes, cucumbers. Cover the onion in half rings and marinate in vinegar water with a pinch of sugar.
  2. Put lettuce or Peking cabbage leaves on the edges of the pita bread. Brush with olive oil, mustard and ketchup. 
  3. Spread a thin layer of carrots in Korean style, chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, peppers and half-rings of pickled onions.
  4. Carefully wrap the pita bread and fry in a preheated frying pan for a couple of minutes on each side. 

Lean shawarma with beans and mushrooms

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • Lavash - 1 pc.
  • Canned beans - 2 tbsp. l
  • Pickled mushrooms - 2 tbsp. l
  • Cucumber-half
  • Tomato-half
  • Korean carrot - 100 g
  • Bulgarian pepper-a quarter
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Lean mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. l

Cooking method

  1. Spread the pita bread with lean mayonnaise, then sprinkle with finely chopped and crushed garlic.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mushrooms, beans, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, carrots in Korean.
  3. Top with more fields of lean mayonnaise. 
  4.  Wrap the pita bread in a tubular envelope. and fry in a dry frying pan on both sides until golden brown.

Lean shawarma with tofu cheese

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • Lavash - 1 piece
  • Tofu cheese-50 g
  • Bulgarian pepper-a quarter
  • Cucumber, fresh or pickled-half
  • Greens (dill, parsley or coriander)
  • Ketchup
  • Pepper and spices-a pinch

Cooking method

  1. Squeeze a fat strip of ketchup on the pita bread
  2. Rub the tofu cheese on a grater and pour it on a strip of ketchup.
  3. Cut the pepper and cucumber into strips. Lay the vegetables in thin layers on top of the cheese.
  4. Squeeze another strip of ketchup over the vegetables and sprinkle with pepper, spices and chopped herbs.
  5. Wrap the pita bread and put it in a preheated frying pan. Fry on both sides for 2 minutes.
