Is it possible to eat ice cream in the heat and how to do it correctly
Ice cream is such a popular and well – loved product that it even has its own holiday-World Ice Cream Day, which is celebrated on June 10. And summer is unthinkable without this refreshing dessert.
But the question is, how safe is it and is it possible to eat ice cream in the heat, so as not to earn problems instead of pleasure? MustHub tried to understand the question.
Can ice cream save you from the heat: pros and cons
People often eat ice cream in an effort to cool down, and not with the aesthetic purpose of enjoying the taste. Therefore, our throat and upper respiratory tract receive a dose of sharp cooling. And besides, the body is also stressed due to a sharp drop in temperature, especially in the summer heat. Here as here-a cold or ARI.
"Fuel to the fire" is also added by the fact that the ice cream melts instantly in the heat, and so that it does not float away at all, we hurry to eat it as quickly as possible.
The paradox is that ice cream cools down very briefly, because after a few minutes, our body begins to actively process the fats and carbohydrates contained in the product. From this, energy is released, which, in turn, increases the body temperature.
The sweetness combined with the fat that is in the ice cream, cause addiction, because of which we want it more and more. In addition, due to its high-calorie composition, ice cream does not contribute to weight loss.
It is much easier for the body to process fats with carbohydrates when they come in a warm form. What can not be said about ice cream-after all, it initially involves the use of cold.
And finally, it is difficult to be sure of the quality of the purchased ice cream, because it is not known from what products, substitutes, emulsifiers, flavors it is made and how many times it has been re-frozen.
It's not really that bad. Eating ice cream brings pleasure, and this is an important benefit for a person.
As a more useful alternative to regular ice cream, sorbet, frozen juice or a dessert prepared at home can act.
Another positive aspect – with the help of ice cream, you can harden your throat. Then winter colds will not be terrible. But this should be done gradually, gradually lowering the temperature from slightly cool to moderately cold. And certainly not in those moments when you are insanely hot, and not during the illness.
Do not try to cool down by quickly swallowing ice cream. It is better to make the dish a ritual of enjoying the taste and temperature – so the benefits will be much more. But the summer heat and thirst are much more effective to quench with ordinary water.
