Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy married: a '90s Calvin Klein slip and a Harris Reed cape

Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy are married. The Brazilian singer-songwriter and the Kennedy scion tied the knot this weekend in a multi-day celebration in Rio de Janeiro, and she did it in two very different wedding dresses: a minimalist '90s Calvin Klein slip and a theatrical Harris Reed design that, by the designer's own admission, barely fit in the penthouse.
The couple met through Conor's sister Kyra, who introduced them online. For six months they swapped WhatsApp messages while Giulia filmed the Netflix movie Beyond the Universe in Brazil. They began dating in 2022, made their red-carpet debut at a Grammy Awards brunch, and got engaged in August 2024, when Conor proposed at their Los Angeles home in a room full of candles shaped into a heart. They legally married in a quiet March 2026 ceremony at his family home before planning the Brazil weekend.
Two dresses, two cities
Weeks before the wedding, Vogue followed Giulia to her final fittings. At the Calvin Klein atelier in New York, she found a sleek white slip with an open back, sheer opera-length gloves and a silk shawl, a look that nods to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, who once worked at the house. "Guys, it's stunning—it's so '90s!" Giulia said in the mirror, while her future sister-in-law Kyra Kennedy told her, "You look insane!"
The bride planned to hand-carry the dress onto the flight rather than ship it. "They said British Airways is pretty good about wedding dresses," she joked. "If you tell them, 'I have my wedding dress with me,' they'll be like, 'Oh my god!'"
A week later, in a London penthouse suite, Harris Reed unveiled the second look: three dresses in one, with an extraordinarily long veil, a bohemian cape jacket with lace bell sleeves and a liquid-silk sweetheart neckline. "Of course the dress is so big that it doesn't even fit in the penthouse," Giulia laughed. "It's really drama—drama-rama!" Harris agreed.
Giulia said she was never going to play it safe. "I wanted drama," she said, describing the finished piece as "my Star Wars wedding moment." At the end of the fitting, she popped the champagne and taught Harris to toast in Portuguese: "Saúde!"
