Zendaya's Tabi wedges and Jennifer Lawrence's clogs: 6 cozy-chic fall looks to copy

Fall's clearest styling lesson from the celebrity circuit this week is simple: put your money into one strong coat and let the accessories do the talking. Vogue's Christian Allaire has rounded up six A-listers "nailing cozy-chic," and every look revolves around one statement piece that is genuinely easy to copy.

The lineup runs from Jennifer Lawrence to Zendaya, with Zoë Kravitz, Hailey Bieber, Tate McRae and Dakota Johnson filling out the roster.

Six looks, one run of play

Jennifer Lawrence makes the classic tailored black overcoat feel lived-in rather than boardroom, pairing it with shearling slip-on clogs, a slouchy leather hobo bag and a floral-print scarf. Big sunglasses and a dad cap are optional, if you want to go "full incognito mode."

Zoë Kravitz works an all-black base and zings it up with a royal purple scarf, one of the colors Vogue flags for the season. Patent boots and a streamlined shopper bag finish what Allaire dubs "a true saucy New Yorker look."

Hailey Bieber leans into the '90s with straight-leg light-wash jeans and a leather blazer, except the fringed trim along the collar and sleeves nudges it toward 2026. The patent mules, Allaire writes, are "chef's kiss."

Tate McRae goes big on texture with a fuzzy faux-fur coat, which Allaire calls "the fashion equivalent of wearing a plushy blanket." She keeps it relaxed with a white tee and medium-wash jeans, then sharpens it with pointed mules.

Zendaya swaps the usual fall moto jacket for a streamlined, elongated leather coat over a cropped tee and cuffed jeans. The talking point is her footwear: Maison Margiela Tabi wedges, an Allaire-endorsed "freaky footwear moment."

Dakota Johnson's going-out version moves slightly boudoir, slightly bohemian. It is a lace maxi dress under a long leather coat with furry trim, plus a golden chainmail bag and stiletto sandals.

The through-line is a coat with personality and one accessory that pops. Vogue links the exact pieces so you can shop the looks, from a $150 Ugg clog to a $3,950 Miu Miu bag.
