"This will be a lesson for us." Shannen Doherty condemns gossipmongers who "forced" Kate Middleton to talk about her illness

Shannen Doherty published a post on her Instagram* in which she condemned everyone who spread gossip about Kate Middleton during her disappearance from the radar and thereby, as she believes, forced the Princess of Wales to talk about her illness.

"Just because you're a public figure doesn't mean you belong to the public. We all have the right to live and go through illness away from the public eye. An onslaught of conspiracy theories, possessiveness and just plain terrible curiosity forced this man to explain himself before she "I came to terms with it myself and explained everything to my children. I pray that this will be a lesson for all of us, so that we begin to respect other people's privacy," the actress wrote.

The “Charmed” star also addressed the Princess of Wales directly: “I admire your courage despite all the pressure you are under while you are facing cancer.” Let us remember that Shannen herself has been battling cancer for many years. In 2015 The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. After that, she underwent a mastectomy, and also underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy. In 2017, she reported remission, but in 2019 the disease returned.

Kate Middleton announced that she was diagnosed with cancer during abdominal surgery in a video message to British citizens.

Before this, due to the fact that the princess suddenly stopped appearing in public, numerous conspiracy theories began to spread online: some said that Kate had plastic surgery, others that she fled the palace because of Prince William’s infidelity, as well as his illegitimate child. Many, including stars such as Blake Lively and Kim Kardashian, joked on social networks about the missing princess. After learning that Kate had cancer, Blake apologized to her subscribers for her behavior.

“I'm sure no one cares today, but I feel like I have to admit it. I posted a stupid post about the hype around “failed photoshop”, and oh my god, this post made me sad today. I'm sorry. I always send good wishes to everyone,” the actress wrote.

Kim Kardashian has not yet made any comments, although her followers are also demanding an apology from her.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's representatives told ET that the Prince and Princess of Wales have been very touched by all the warm wishes they have received over the past couple of days. It is also reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have already publicly reached out to Kate with words of support, have now contacted her and Prince William privately.
