Milla Jovovich's mother, Galina Loginova, was born in Tuapse to a military family. Later, she moved with her parents to Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, and went to school there (according to some sources, Galina was born in Dnepropetrovsk — Ed.). The actress graduated from VGIK and became famous for her roles in the films "Shadows Vanish at Noon", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Fairfax Millions". In 1975, in Kyiv, she gave birth to a daughter, Milla, from her husband, Bogdan Jovovich, for whose relationship she was persecuted by the KGB. In 1981, Galina left the USSR and lived with her husband and daughter in London, and then they moved to California. There, Galina was unable to continue her film career and concentrated on raising her daughter. During the first years of Milla's career, her mother was her agent.

Earlier, Milla Jovovich explained why she had not contacted her subscribers for a long time.
