The 15th annual Governors Awards, held by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, took place yesterday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hollywood and Highland Center since 2009, the Governors Awards present three awards to honor achievements in the film industry: the Academy Honorary Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. These three awards were previously presented during the Academy Awards ceremony.
