Beyonce and Taylor Swift named among the 100 most influential women in the world
Forbes magazine has published a list of the 100 most influential women in the world in 2024. The list was topped by female politicians: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Among the show business stars, Taylor Swift, who recently completed a major tour, rose to the top of the list — she took 23rd place. Beyoncé, whose name was embroiled in a scandal in the outgoing year, was in 35th place. Oprah Winfrey took 33rd place, Rihanna — 76th.
Forbes estimated the fortune of 34-year-old Taylor Swift at $1.6 billion. In October 2023, the singer became a billionaire, including thanks to the income from her Eras Tour. Journalists do not indicate the income of 42-year-old Beyoncé, but it is noted that in 2023 she broke the record for the number of Grammy Awards wins - 32.
Earlier, against the backdrop of the scandal with the arrest of rapper P. Diddy, a conspiracy theory spread online that his friends Beyoncé and Jay-Z were eliminating competitors in show business. In particular, the artist is suspected of involvement in the death of the famous singer of the 2000s, Aaliyah. The couple, who are now considered one of the most influential in Hollywood, denies the accusations. However, recently their names again made headlines in connection with Jay-Z's accusations of raping a 13-year-old girl.
