Rhinestone suit and slit dress: Sharon Stone shows off two striking looks
Sharon Stone, who has spent years raising awareness about health after suffering a stroke, attended the American Heart Association's annual Red Dress Collection gala in New York City.
Stone, 66, kept it classy for the evening, stepping out in a red Nicolas Jebran jumpsuit embroidered with rhinestones. She accessorized with a silver clutch from The Moirè, as well as diamond-studded earrings and a necklace. She was also spotted wearing Roberto Cavalli shoes. Later in the evening, Stone changed into a dress in a different shade, featuring a thigh-high slit.
In the fall of 2001, Stone, then 43, suffered a massive stroke and cerebral hemorrhage. The disease affected the actress's memory and senses. She could not see with her left eye or hear with her left ear, and could not write, read, or move - she had to learn to do this all over again. The actress admitted that because of the complications, she was rarely offered roles, and the scammers left her practically penniless.
After her illness, Stone joined the board of the Barrow Neurological Foundation. The actress also worked for the World Health Organization and the United Nations for many years.
At the same time, Sharon Stone has recently attracted attention by posting bikini shots on her Instagram*. Fans of the star note that she is in excellent physical shape.
Sharon Stone has been married three times. She divorced her third husband, San Francisco newspaper editor Phil Bronstein, in 2004. She has three adopted sons.
