"The most wonderful mother and wife." Prince William gave a rare comment about Kate Middleton.

Prince William called Kate Middleton "the most wonderful mother and wife" and described how his wife's return to work went after her cancer battle.
"She's the most wonderful mother and wife, and we couldn't have done it without her. I'm so proud. I'm so, so proud. She's been amazing. She's been through a lot over the last couple of years. She was really looking forward to this trip to Italy, and she was so excited, so I'm so glad it went so well," the prince said on Amanda Holden and Jamie Thickson's Heart Breakfast show.
William also discussed Kate's current work, as she has been making much more public appearances lately: "She's become a true expert in early childhood development, so most evenings I struggle to clear away all the documents she's lined up in her bedroom to read. She's now spending who knows how long learning new things." Early childhood development has long been a topic of interest to Kate, and most of the Princess of Wales's patronages revolve around it.
As a reminder, Kate Middleton has been married to the Prince of Wales for over 15 years. The couple has three children together: 12-year-old Prince George, 11-year-old Princess Charlotte, and eight-year-old son Louis.
In March 2024, Middleton revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment. For several months, the princess was absent from public view, sparking conspiracy theories online about Kate's health. In September of that year, Middleton announced she had completed chemotherapy. Over the past two years, the princess has been gradually returning to work.
Kate recently returned from her first solo trip since her recovery. During her visit to Italy, the princess visited the city of Reggio Emilia to learn more about the practices of renowned Italian educator Loris Malaguzzi.
