Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky hold hands at ballet gala in NYC

Katie Holmes and her artist boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky stepped out for a glamorous date night at the American Ballet Theatre fall gala at New York City's Lincoln Center on Oct. 29, holding hands as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

The 47-year-old Dawson's Creek alum wore a silky, long-sleeved dark green gown with a drop-waist that elongated her torso, her hair pulled back in a bun and finished with dangling earrings and a black bag. Yarmosky matched the moment in a dark double-breasted suit over a black shirt.

From Hamptons hand-holding to full launch

The couple first sparked romance rumors in July, when Holmes stepped out hand-in-hand with the artist at a screening of Olivia Wilde's The Invite in the Hamptons. Less than a week later they confirmed the relationship with their first official appearance at a Ferragamo event, wearing matching navy looks.

Holmes played it coy at the time, telling Elle, "I think we just have similar taste." But once Yarmosky hard-launched the romance on Instagram in August, she happily went public too, posting a photo of the two sharing an embrace from his 39th birthday party. She captioned it, "Happy Birthday to the best of the best...@jasonbardyarmosky."

Holmes, who shares daughter Suri, 20, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, has said it took her time to feel comfortable putting her private life in the spotlight. "You can get consumed by what people think, but suddenly you just decide to do things on your own terms," she told InStyle in 2022. "I feel like I'm finally figuring that out."

The gala honored Cynthia Erivo, and the couple kept close throughout the evening - a long way from their first Hamptons outing just a few months ago.
