On The Rocks' bottled Chocolate Martini means no shaker, no mess — holiday hosting solved

On The Rocks just dropped a limited-edition bottled Chocolate Martini, and it does almost all of the holiday-hosting work before you even twist the cap. The ready-to-pour cocktail combines EFFEN Vodka with chocolate liqueur and was created by mixologist Joaquín Simó, the brand's global ambassador.

Flavor-wise, it leans into cocoa and dark chocolate with a vanilla ribbon running through — and, surprisingly, it's completely dairy-free despite tasting like something that ought to demand a carton of cream.

The point is the zero effort

The real appeal isn't the tasting notes. It's that nobody has to assemble a small liquor cabinet's worth of bottles just because someone decides dessert calls for chocolate martinis. The mixing is already done inside the bottle.

For the cold version, On The Rocks says to chill the bottle, shake it with ice, and strain into a chilled glass. If December has you refusing anything below room temperature, there's a hot take too: finished with whipped cream, toasted marshmallows, and shaved dark chocolate.

"In order to create a bar-quality cocktail experience in a bottle, balance always comes first," Simó said. "Chocolate can be a tricky flavor to balance in a cocktail because it can easily overpower other ingredients. With the smooth character of EFFEN Vodka as our base, we found the right balance of decadent milk chocolate and rich dark cocoa notes."

The bottle drops just as the ready-to-drink aisle keeps getting more crowded — and right before the cozier winter season turns everyone into hosts. No drop date beyond "just launched" was given, so the move, if you want it on the bar cart, is to look for it now.
