"I want to give her her own space." Nicole Kidman speaks out about her daughter's catwalk debut amid criticism of her
Nicole Kidman has spoken out about her 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose's debut on the catwalk: she previously took part in the Miu Miu show.
"I just told her, 'You can do this, baby.' I'm trying to give her her own space. Not be bossy, not dominate," she told E! News.
She added that she felt "incredibly proud and supported," adding that she hoped "to just be there for her, to just be a mom." The actress was not seen in the audience, but she supported her daughter backstage.
Earlier, the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban opened the show of the new Miu Miu collection at Paris Fashion Week. The budding model walked the catwalk in a white dress, leg warmers and open-toe shoes.
Sunday's appearance on the web was widely criticized, with many advising her to do something else and saying that modeling is not her thing. People were also once again outraged by how many nepo babies had appeared in the fashion industry.
Sunday is not the only daughter of the 57-year-old actress, she has a younger sister Faith Margaret, who was born via a surrogate mother, but is the biological daughter of Kidman and Urban. The actress and musician got married in 2006. Previously, Nicole was married to Tom Cruise for 11 years. They have two adopted children: daughter Isabella Jane and son Connor Anthony.
