"There's Love and Joy to Be Found in This." Demi Moore Talks About Bruce Willis' Health and How She's Coping With His Illness
Demi Moore gave an interview to CNN, in which she spoke about the health of her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who was forced to end his career due to dementia. According to the 62-year-old actress, 69-year-old Bruce Willis is now in a “stable condition.”
Demi also gave advice to those who, like her, have encountered a similar disease in a loved one. According to the actress, people with dementia should try to accept them as they are at the moment.
“I’ve said this before, but I really believe it. It’s important for anyone going through this to accept their loved ones as they are. You can find so much love and joy in that. Of course, it’s very difficult, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. But where there is great loss, there is also incredible beauty, from which you can extract so much beauty,” the star said.
Let us recall that due to a serious diagnosis – frontotemporal dementia – Bruce Willis had to leave the film industry. The actor simply could no longer remember his lines in scripts. Now he has difficulty remembering his loved ones – for example, there was a moment when he could not remember Demi Moore, whom he had not seen for several months, because she was on vacation.
The actor is looked after by his 46-year-old wife Emma Heming, as well as Demi Moore and her and Bruce's daughters (their appearance, by the way, is often criticized due to their resemblance to Willis). Rumer, Tallulah and Scout regularly post joint photos with their father on social networks. Earlier, Emma publicly denied media reports that Bruce Willis has no joy left in life. According to her, a person's life does not end as soon as he is diagnosed with a neurocognitive disease.
