"This story deserves to be told." Vladislav Bakalchuk to shoot a biopic about Wildberries with a budget of 200 million rubles

Wildberries founder Vladislav Bakalchuk said in his Telegram channel that he is going to make a biopic about the company under the working title "Wild Berries". The budget for the film will be 200 million rubles.

"Friends, we are starting work on a feature film-biopic about Wildberries. This story deserves to be told - with all the ups and downs, love and strong family, crises and victories. It has everything: bright heroes, textbook villains and, most importantly, a happy ending, which I am 100% sure of," Bakalchuk wrote.

"The team is currently preparing an application for co-financing from the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Domestic Cinematography," he noted, adding that it will be based on his own memories, family archives, and stories from friends.

According to him, today Wildberries is not just a business, but a "cultural phenomenon and part of the lives of millions of people", and the scandal surrounding the company only fuels interest in this story. "Wildberries is more than a company. It is an entire era. I am sure that the film will find a response in the hearts of everyone who is not afraid to dream, move forward and fight for their own."

The scandal surrounding Wildberries began this summer. Vladislav Bakalchuk said that his ex-wife was being manipulated and that someone was trying to seize the company. Tatyana claims that her husband simply cannot come to terms with their separation and is trying to take her business away from her. As a result, Tatyana removed her ex-husband from business, saying that his role in the company had always been insignificant. The matter even led to a shootout in the Wildberries office, which resulted in two deaths. Tatyana took back her maiden name.
