"I Will Love You Forever." Anna Sedokova Reached Out After Ex-Husband's Death and Commented on Accusations Against Her

Anna Sedokova got in touch nine days after the suicide of her ex-husband Janis Timma and commented on the accusations made against her by the deceased's relatives.

Sedokova thanked everyone for their support and said that she is still in the hospital, where she ended up with a nervous breakdown, and she “can’t yet live like before.”

"I'm grieving. It seems to me that all of this is some kind of stupid joke. But every morning I wake up in the hospital and understand that I will never see you again. The main thing, remember, hero: there is nothing that you cannot conquer. And although you have left us, I will love you forever - on earth and in heaven," Sedokova wrote on Instagram*.

She also called on people not to trust those who are now commenting in the media on Timma's death and their marriage: "It is very painful to see how strangers, whom we have never seen, are trying to use this tragedy for their own interests. True friends are now grieving and offering condolences to their mother, and not giving interviews."

Sedokova did not name names, so it is unknown who exactly she meant by "outsiders". Earlier, both his friend and former coach spoke about Timma's suicide, the reasons for it, and his relationship with Sedokova in general: both believe that Timma's suicide was driven by his divorce from Sedokova, and the divorce came about because Timma was unable to provide his wife with the standard of living she was accustomed to. One said that Timma was "obsessed" with his wife, the other - that Sedokova "destroyed" Janis as an athlete. Timma's first wife and the mother of his only child, whom he left for Sedokova, also hinted at this: she said that the last five years - just when Timma and Sedokova were together - were hell for her and her son.

32-year-old Janis Timma was found dead in a Moscow hotel on the night of December 17: he committed suicide on Sedokova's birthday, leaving a farewell note asking her to "call Anya." According to one version, he wanted to scare his ex-wife, but ended up dying. The reasons for the suicide are said to be the divorce that took place a week before, financial difficulties, and career failures. After Timma's death, Sedokova said that she had been living in hell for the last few months, and her relatives said that Timma had begged her to come back to him and threatened to commit suicide if she did not. However, the singer did not receive any support online: she was widely harassed and accused of "driving" her husband to suicide. When Sedokova recorded a video in which she cried in the hospital, she was also condemned. They even remembered the singer's old video, in which she allegedly "predicted" Timma's death.

After Timma's death, it was also unclear how he would be buried: it turned out that his relatives did not have the money to bring him to Latvia, and a fundraiser for the funeral was opened on the Internet. Sedokova's representatives said that she would pay for everything, but later Timma's family stated that there was no financial assistance from her. The singer did not comment on this point in her new post, but stated that she, "together with Janis's mother and sister, and with the support of countries," is organizing the farewell to Janis Timma.
