Harry Styles put the couple who got engaged at his show in “Coming Up Roses”

Harry Styles turned a real-life engagement into a music video cameo. Marivel and Frankie, the couple who got engaged at his Madison Square Garden show in October, appear together in the new “Coming Up Roses” video, which arrived Monday (Oct. 26).
The visual follows Styles through a beginner’s ballroom dance class with a group of strangers — a woman in a bridal gown, a waitress, a cowboy and more. Near the end, the class lines up for a group photo in front of a scenic mural, and that’s exactly where Marivel and Frankie step into frame. Styles puts an arm around Marivel while the other dancers crowd in to pose. By the end, the mismatched class has come together as a unit, differences and all.
A note that made it official
“Meeting Harry Styles and being in the Coming Up Roses music video is something we never imagined,” Marivel wrote on Instagram after the video dropped. “Thank you @harrystyles for making our engagement much more special and having us be a part of such a special song. You are truthfully the nicest and just an overall amazing person. Thank you for the roses.”
She also shared a photo with her fiancé and Styles on set, plus a shot of the floral arrangement the singer gifted them. A handwritten note from Styles reads: “I’m so honored to have been a small part in [your engagement].”
The cameo caps a whirlwind few weeks. Marivel had revealed after the October show that Frankie proposed during her very first time seeing Styles live, posting a photo of Frankie down on one knee and a clip of the couple — Marivel flashing her ring — on the arena’s big screens. “First time seeing @harrystyles and it was such a special night that will be remembered forever,” she wrote.
Styles now has just three dates left at Madison Square Garden before taking his Together, Together tour to Australia, supporting his Billboard 200-topping album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. More North American and European dates follow next year.
