Kate Middleton and Prince William attend a gala reception in Jamaica
Kate Middleton and Prince William continue their tour of the Caribbean in honor of the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, and yesterday they attended a gala evening at the residence of the Governor General of Jamaica in Kingston.
For the official reception, the Duchess of Cambridge chose an evening dress in a floor-length emerald shade with open shoulders by the British brand Jenny Packham. The hem of the dress was decorated with crystals, and the neckline area was decorated with two orders. The cost of the outfit, presumably, is more than 4.4 thousand dollars. The image was complemented by emerald jewelry that Kate borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II.
Earlier, Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Trenchtown, the birthplace of reggae, made famous in Bob Marley's songs. The Dukes of Cambridge met with local athletes, including members of the Olympic bobsleigh team, which took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing this year.
After that, Kate Middleton and Prince William visited the music museum and even played the drums.
In Jamaica, the Dukes of Cambridge, as representatives of the British crown, were met with protests. Locals oppose the status of a constitutional monarchy and say they do not want Kate Middleton and Prince William to visit their country.
