Banksy presented a new work, it was stolen an hour later

In south London, in the area of ​​Peckham, a new work by Banksy has appeared in the form of a road sign with the inscription Stop and 3D images of drones on top of it. The British street artist confirmed the authorship of the work by publishing photographs of it on his social networks.

Less than an hour after the publication appeared, an art object supposedly dedicated to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was stolen, The Guardian reports. A video of the kidnapping, shot by an eyewitness, has gone viral online, showing an unknown man unscrewing the sign while standing on an electric bike held by his accomplice, before taking it off and running away.

As The Guardian notes, Banksy's new installation is reminiscent of his 2017 work, which depicts three drones flying over a child's drawing. The work was sold at auction for 205 thousand pounds sterling (more than 20 million rubles).

In February of this year, Banksy painted graffiti dedicated to the topic of domestic violence for Valentine's Day.

The full name of the artist still remains a mystery to the public. They have been trying to establish his identity for several decades now. In November, the BBC published an old interview with Banksy in which he says his name is Robbie.
