Kate Middleton discharged from hospital after abdominal surgery

Kate Middleton, who underwent abdominal surgery two weeks ago, has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery. Representatives of the British royal family reported this, expressing gratitude to the doctors for their work.

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery and is making good progress,” Kensington Palace said in a statement on Instagram.* “The Prince and Princess would like to express their deep gratitude to the entire team at the London clinic, especially the dedicated medical staff, for the care they provided. The family of the Prince and Princess of Wales remain grateful for the well wishes they receive from around the world."

Now Kate will have to follow the doctor’s recommendations and be monitored until she fully recovers. It was previously reported that the Princess of Wales was "looking forward to returning to work" and was upset that she had to postpone all planned meetings until at least Easter. At the palace, in addition to her domestic and medical staff, she is cared for by her husband, Prince William, and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Meanwhile, Kate's father-in-law, King Charles III, is in a London clinic, where he was taken on Friday for surgery to remove prostate adenoma, reports the Daily Mail.

Kate Middleton was hospitalized on January 16, a week after her 42nd birthday. The operation was planned, but it was not reported what exactly the problem was.
