King Charles III diagnosed with cancer
King Charles III of Great Britain was diagnosed with cancer. This was reported by People with reference to a statement from the palace.
The king's diagnosis became known after he underwent surgery due to an enlarged prostate. “His Majesty today began his regular treatment schedule, during which doctors have advised him to postpone his public duties,” the palace said, noting that the king would soon return to work.
"During the King's recent hospital procedure for a benign prostate enlargement, something concerning was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests revealed cancer."
The king's diagnosis, as in the previous case, was made public to draw attention to the health problem in the country. "His Majesty has decided to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope that it will help public understanding of all those around the world affected by cancer." King Charles III himself will personally reveal his diagnosis to his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as his brothers and sisters: Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Another member of the royal family is currently on sick leave - Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, who underwent abdominal surgery and is now recovering. The Princess of Wales's diagnosis has not been announced.
