Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend drumming workshop and other events during Colombia tour
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's tour of Colombia continues. On their second day in the country, the couple visited the Colegio La Giralda kindergarten in Santa Fe. There, they toured the campus, took part in an art lesson, and helped plant trees on the school grounds.
Meghan chose a light-colored shirt and cropped trousers for the event, as well as a $4,000 Loro Piana jacket. The look was completed with Chanel ballet flats and one special piece of jewelry - Princess Diana's butterfly earrings, which Prince Harry's mother wore in May 1986 during a trip with Charles to Canada.
By the way, Harry and Meghan spoke a little with the children in their native language, Spanish. They, in turn, sang a song and presented the guests with gifts. Later that day, Harry and Meghan attended a training session for the Colombian team of the Invictus Games, a competition between wounded servicemen that is held in different countries at the initiative of Prince Harry. The training session took place at the Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center in Bogota. There, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex inspected the swimming pool, climbing wall, gym, and rehabilitation rooms, and also talked to the athletes who played a sitting volleyball match.
The third day of the tour began for Meghan and Harry with a visit to the Escuela Tambores de Cabildo music school in Cartagena, where they took a master class in playing traditional African drums.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then visited the Afro-Caribbean village of San Basilio de Palenque. They got there first by helicopter, then by car along a potholed road lined with soldiers and, at one point, a tank. Given all this, Meghan's outfit was not very practical: she wore a white skirt and sleeveless top, as well as a wide-brimmed hat.
Earlier, Harry and Meghan visited the Delia Zapata Olivella National Arts Centre, where they were greeted by Minister Juan David Correa Ulloa and museum director Xiomara Suescun, and met with Vice President Francia Marquez and her husband Yerny Pinillo at her official residence.
