Meghan Markle is returning to acting for the first time since her wedding to Prince Harry.

44-year-old Meghan Markle is returning to her acting career for the first time since her wedding to Prince Harry.
After an eight-year hiatus, the actress will appear in the new Amazon MGM series "Queer as Folk." Meghan's co-stars in the project include Brie Larson and Lily Collins. The Duchess will reportedly play herself in the series. She has already filmed an episode featuring her appearance, and on set, she "looked very relaxed and happy," according to People.
According to a source, Megan is "testing the waters" and has agreed to a small role. She wants to decide whether she's comfortable being on set in a completely different role. "This is a big moment for Megan. It marks a return to what she loves so much. She's had a lot of offers, but this felt right," The Sun insider noted.
As a reminder, Meghan Markle's last (and most famous) role was on the series "Suits." She left the show and officially retired from acting a month before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. At the time, the couple was living in the UK, where their son, Archie, was soon born. In 2020, the couple decided to step back from their royal duties and moved to Meghan's homeland of California. In 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter, Lilibet. In the US, the couple maintains a busy social life. They have given interviews detailing life in the British royal family and starred in a docudrama, which has severely strained their relationship with 41-year-old Harry's family. The couple also signed a $100 million deal with Netflix, where Meghan launched her often-criticized cooking show. Rumor has it that the prince misses life in the UK and intends to reconcile with his family, though his wife is opposed.
