"Donate your brain to scientists." Bruce Willis' wife has prepared a plan in case of his death.

Bruce Willis' wife, Emma Heming, has prepared a plan in the event of his death. The actor has been suffering from dementia for several years.
"Most people associate death with fear and the unknown. But when someone close to you is sick, you can't just ignore it: illness becomes part of everyday life. We, as a society, don't usually think about the future and death itself. But we really need to think about it," Heming wrote in her new memoir, An Unexpected Journey.
She also noted that after the actor's death, she plans to donate his brain to scientists: "Research into neurodegenerative diseases relies heavily on studying the brain after death, especially in rare forms of dementia. This is not a symbolic gesture. This is science. And it could one day help other families."
Earlier, the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore revealed that her father doesn't always recognize her anymore. Rumer explained that the 70-year-old actor feels her love regardless of whether he recognizes her.
In 2023, doctors diagnosed Bruce Willis with frontotemporal dementia. The disease left him unable to remember his lines, forcing him to retire from acting. He is currently cared for by his wife, Emma Heming, his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their three daughters. As the disease progresses, the actor has difficulty recognizing loved ones. Despite this, his wife insists he has not lost his zest for life.
In late August, Bruce Willis's wife revealed she had moved out due to illness. Emma later faced a barrage of criticism for this decision, but she maintained that she had more experience dealing with the illness and that the decision was necessary. Willis's ex-wife, Demi Moore, later supported her.
