A Miss Universe contestant was taken to intensive care.

Miss Universe 2025 contestant Gabrielle Henry, 28, is in intensive care after falling from the stage during the show, her family reported.
The incident occurred on November 19 during the preliminary round of the pageant, which took place in Thailand. Henry, who holds the title of Miss Jamaica, was walking the runway in a long evening gown and high platform shoes when she lost track of the stage and fell. The moment was captured on video and immediately went viral on social media.
Although the victim was carried from the scene on a stretcher, pageant organizers reported that she suffered no serious injuries. However, three days later, it became clear that the situation was far more serious: the beauty queen was admitted to intensive care.
"Gabby is not doing as well as we had hoped, but she is receiving all the care she needs in the hospital," her sister, Phylicia Henry-Samuels, said in a statement posted on the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization's Instagram account*. It also clarified that Gabrielle will remain in the intensive care unit for at least seven days while "doctors continue to closely monitor and provide specialized care."
The organization also appealed to "Jamaicans at home and abroad to continue to pray for Gabrielle" during this "extremely difficult time." They also called on people around the world to join in supporting her with "their love, strength, and hope."
This isn't the only scandal to erupt at this year's Miss Universe pageant. Judge Omar Harfouch abruptly resigned from the official jury just days before the contest began, accusing the organizers of corruption. Furthermore, the executive director of the Miss Universe pageant was suspended after calling Mexican contestant Fatima Bosch "stupid." Ultimately, Bosch won the 47th edition of the competition.
